Citizen Watch Co - 92TA Backlight  Unit - Opto Display.

Normal color is an unobtrusive orange-pink, but when a 9V battery (or 6 - 12VDC) is applied it magically becomes a pinkish white. Bright enough to become the backlight for a citizen compact personal LCD TV. (Not included).

CAPSUL - 0706 - 3921C - Electroluminescent Panel Driver Inverter.

A power inverter for an electroluminescent device  enables the electroluminescent device to be powered from a low voltage DC power source. Switching transistors convert the low voltage DC power to AC power which is subsequently increased and coupled to a resonant circuit including the electroluminescent device. Current in the resonant circuit is sampled, referenced to half the low voltage DC power, and coupled back in phase to an amplifier and switching transistors to create an oscillator which oscillates at a frequency determined by the resonant circuit.

General Electric - SSL-140 - LED Displays, Solid State Lamp (SSL) 

One of General Electric's most well-known displays, the SSL-140 is an early seven-segment LED in a tiny surface mount package. The SSL-140 is a single die device, in that all of the segments are constructed on the same lump of silicon. The display's decimal point is a separate small cubical die located in the right side of the display area. The SSL-140's dies are bonded to a ceramic wafer with gold leads, with an enclosing plastic cover to protect the fragile dies and bond wires.

ISEDEN - DG10A / DG10C Gas-discharge tube with a 7 segment display.

A gas-filled tube, also commonly known as a discharge tube or formerly as a Plücker tube, is an arrangement of electrodes in a gas within an insulating, temperature-resistant envelope. Gas-filled tubes exploit phenomena related to electric discharge in gases and operate by ionizing the gas with an applied voltage sufficient to cause electrical conduction by the underlying phenomena of the Townsend discharge. A gas-discharge lamp is an electric light using a gas-filled tube; these include fluorescent lamps, metal-halide lamps, sodium-vapor lamps, and neon lights. Specialized gas-filled tubes such as krytrons, thyratrons, and ignitrons are used as switching devices in electric devices.

This flying lead display tube has color coded plastic sleeves on its leads, which makes it easier to wire than most VFD tubes. The tube is smaller than most, and digit height is 9mm.
