WARD LEONARD - RWFF175W1K NI  Ceramic Resistor with Ayrton-Perry Winding.

A non-inductively wound resistor uses Ayrton-Perry Winding technique which has one winding in one direction and one in the other. Since there are the same number of turns of wire in each direction, the magnetic fields of the two wires cancel each other to nullify inductance. One disadvantage of this technique is that it requires twice the length of coil to make given resistance as compared to standard winding. Ayrton-Perry windings are used in resistor to eliminate parasitic inductance at high frequencies.

    Resistance: 1K Ohm.

    Power: 175 watt.

    Cartridge Clip-In, Metal ferrule.

    Non-inductive.

    Enamel coated.

    Dimensions: 1.238" D x 9-9/16" long.
