Temperature Switch
- MICRO DEVICES - LL61501 - Switch, Temperature. Thermal Fuse, 150 Deg C. Fuseable Link
MICRO DEVICES - LL61501 Switch, Temperature.
A Thermal Fuse or Fusable Link is a cutoff which uses a one-time fusible link. ... Unlike electrical fuses or circuit breakers, thermal fuses only react to excessive temperature and not to excessive current (unless the excessive current is sufficient to cause the thermal fuse itself to heat up to the trigger temperature). This fuse breaks the circuit when the temperature exceeds 150C.

MICROTEMP - 4204A PWNC - G4A - Switch, Fuse Thermal.
Rated for continuous operating currents up to 10 amps @ 250VAC (15 amps @ 120VAC), the G4 series MICROTEMP® TCO is the industry standard for over-temperature protection. The G4 series is applied to millions of appliances and personal care products each year, providing reliable back-up protection for temperature controlling thermostats and other over-temperature conditions. The G4 series is also widely applied in office machines, portable heaters and industrial equipment as a thermal safeguard.
Cutout Normally Closed, 98 Degree C. (208.5 Degree F).

Thermal Cut-offs (also known as Thermal Fuses) are miniature, NON-RESETTABLE temperature sensitive devices designed to prevent appliances and electronic equipment from overheating. Thermal cutoffs are UL and CSA listed. Literally thousands of different applications have been devised for thermal-cutoffs, thus providing a large replacement market. Such applications include: Hair Dryers Refrigerators Battery Chargers Irons Hot Plates Glue Guns Electric Motors Window Fans Coffee Makers Microwave Ovens Popcorn Poppers Dishwashers And hundreds of others The TCO (Thermal Cut-Off) responds to temperature by interrupting an electrical circuit when the operating and/or environmental temperature exceeds the thermal rating of the device. This is accomplished when the internal organic pellet experiences a phase change, allowing the spring activated contacts to permanently open the circuit.
Trip Open Temperature: 87C / 188F
Maximum Current Rating: 15 Amps
Typical Opening Temperature Tolerance: +0°C, –4°C
18 Gauge Solid Copper Wire
Full 1 1/3” leads to fit all replacement configurations
Note 1: Temperature sensitive devices. Do not store above +48°C (+120°F).
Note 2: Color Band does not denote temperature group.
Note 3: The electrical resistance of the thermal cut–off is comparable to that found in an equal length of 18 gauge solid copper wire. With proper air flow, heat generation below 15 Amps is minimal, above 15Amps the upper limit on the currentcapacity will depend on the environment for each specific application.
Note 4: A general rule of thumb for continuous operating temperature for thermal cut–offs is 30°C less than the Maximum Opening Temperature.
