CVI Melles Griot - 5-134 Plano Optical Convex Lens.

Plano-Convex lenses are the best choice for focusing parallel rays of light to a single point. They can be used to focus, collect and collimate light. The asymmetry of these lenses minimizes spherical aberration in situations where the object and image are located at unequal distances from the lens.

Plano-convex lenses are positive focal length elements that have one spherical surface and one flat surface. These lenses are designed for infinite conjugate (parallel light) use or simple imaging in non-critical applications. These optic lenses are ideal for all-purpose focusing elements.

Dimensions: Curved face with a flat top 1.633" and flat botton 2.276" and 3.031" at it's widest x 2.33" high.

Copal - RD0026 - Copal Shutter Assembly with reflex viewing system.

Copal brand shutters were supplied by all the major view camera lens manufacturers with their lenses. These excellent quality shutters had been made virtually unchanged for over twenty years by Nidec Copal Corp, Tokyo, Japan.

Expertly crafted "Guillotine Copal Shutter" with a special bayonet lens mount measuring about 1.5" ID.

Could have been used for a high speed electronic (oscillographic) motioncapture system or vidicon camera front end. The whole assembly is approx 2-1/2" square and has two motors, a 0.60" dia 4-wire stepper w/gear and a Namiki high effciemcy PM motor, less than 1/2" in dia, which could opperate from a single solar cell. The optics include a single surface mirror with reflex prism. Micro gears and dozens of miniature metric screw, etc.
