Copal - RD0026 - Copal Shutter Assembly with reflex viewing system.

Copal brand shutters were supplied by all the major view camera lens manufacturers with their lenses. These excellent quality shutters had been made virtually unchanged for over twenty years by Nidec Copal Corp, Tokyo, Japan.

Expertly crafted "Guillotine Copal Shutter" with a special bayonet lens mount measuring about 1.5" ID.

Could have been used for a high speed electronic (oscillographic) motioncapture system or vidicon camera front end. The whole assembly is approx 2-1/2" square and has two motors, a 0.60" dia 4-wire stepper w/gear and a Namiki high effciemcy PM motor, less than 1/2" in dia, which could opperate from a single solar cell. The optics include a single surface mirror with reflex prism. Micro gears and dozens of miniature metric screw, etc.
