Transducer Receiver consist of a piezoelectric ceramic disc mounted with-in a probe.  A conical metal resonator bonded at the center of disc acting as a rigid piston. ASTATIC - 9000 - Power Module 9000 - Microphone In/Out

Astatic Corp was based on Conneaut Ohio for many years. Although they primarily produced microphones for voice-frequency communications work, they also made higher-fidelity models which are much less common. The company reorganized as Omnitronics LLC in 2000, and later combined CAD, Astatic and Omnitronics under the CAD Audio brand.

Model PM-9000 power module houses microphone electronics and features a superior low noise transformerless design for optimum frequency response. The PM-9000 power module also includes a switchable 12dB per octave high pass filter. The PM-9000 can be mounted either with 4 mounting screws or double-sided foam tape.

VINTAGE NIB NOS ASTATIC - T2M-931 - DTMF Series Microphone with Touch Pad, New Handheld DTMF Microphone T2M-931- DTMF Series Microphone with touch pad that I purchased from you, has a special molded plastic connector at the end of its microphone cable, which was designed to work with a particular commercial transceiver. When using this microphone with a modern Amateur radio transceiver, this plastic connector has to be removed, and the colored wires soldered to a microphone connector. Amateur transceivers like Kenwood, Yaesu, Icom, and Tentec have the proper phantom B+ voltage on one of their Microphone front panel mic jacks to power this Astatic microphone. However, when doing this the T2M-931 mic cable yellow wire "Hangup Button" wire, MUST be connected to Chassis ground pin of transceiver for this microphone to work. The shield ground wire of this microphone is an AC audio ground only and is not the ground for the mic element & preamp stage negative voltage to work. The yellow Hangup Button wire MUST go to ground to get negative voltage for this microphone to work.
