Similar / Alternates: ATC Diversified Electronics TUC-120-AKA, TUC-120-AKA-120, Automatic Timing and Controls 319, NTE Electronics R32-11A10-120L, Phillips ECG RLY4445K, ECG RLY4445L, Dayton 5ZC10, Dayton 5X829N, Electomatic S-Systems SA205-120, Tyco CUA-41-71049
Note: When substituting, compare rating requirements as well as connections which are often different.
Internal thumbwheel trim thumbwheel potentiometer could adjust the time delay.
Operation Principle (On-Delay)
1. Trigger: When input voltage (115VAC) is applied to the coil (pins 2 and 8), the timing cycle begins.
2. Timing: The output contacts remain in their "shelf state" (non-energized) during the delay period.
3. Switching: After the 240-second (or adjusted) time elapses, the relay contacts change state (NO closes, NC opens).
4. Reset: If input voltage is removed, the relay instantly resets to its original state.
Typical Wiring (8-Pin Octal)
• Coil Power: Pins 2 and 8
• Common 1: Pin 3 (Normally Open: Pin 4 Normally Closed
• Common 5: Pin 6 (Normally Open: Pin 7 Normally Closed
This type of On-Delay relay is often used in situations where equipment needs to be energized only after a set time following power application, such as motor control sequences.
