EXTRON COMPANY - ST22 - Motors, AC. Dynamic Magnetic Stop-Tron/Brake Unit, 230VAC 7.5HP.
The EXTRON COMPANY ST22 is a high-quality Dynamic Magnetic Stop-Tron/Brake Unit designed for industrial automation and motion control applications. With a static torque of 7.5 HP and a waterproof/dust-tight enclosure, this unit is built to last and perform reliably in a variety of environments. Made in the United States, this unit is a single piece that offers dynamic stopping power and braking capabilities, making it an essential component for machinery and equipment requiring precise control and safety features.
How does an AC motor brake work?
If a spinning AC induction motor's stator coils are energized with DC rather than AC, the rotor will find itself spinning inside a stationary magnetic field. This causes currents to be induced in the rotor bars, which in turn causes a braking force to develop in the rotor in accordance with Lenz's Law.
3 Phase Motors, AC.
Stop-Tron/Brake
230VAC 7.5HP, 15 Amp.
Internal: Struthers-Dunn Type-425XbX Relay
Environmentally Sealed Panel Mount Enclosure.
Includes Installation Instructions
