Note: The UA914EC was found to be perfectly capable of being a linear device as well which resulted in Fairchild continuing to manufacture it well after RTL line was dropped and the DTL and TTL lines were established. The 914 became the core for a number of projects both audio and rf. It's a close cousin of the chips from which the AGC (Apollo guidance computer) was built in the 1960s. The same computer that landed man on the Moon 50 years ago.
