The Motorola MDA980-1 diode is designed for a full wave bridge rectifier, with a peak forward voltage of 50V and a peak reverse repetitive voltage of 35V RMS. These silicon carbide diodes have a maximum continuous current of 12A and a peak surge current of 300A, with a power dissipation of 600W. They are packaged in a 309A-02 case with through-hole mounting style and four pins for connection. Made in the United States, the diodes are suitable for high-temperature applications up to 175°C.
