Hollow True Bakelite Tube/Rod.
Bakelite or polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride was the first plastic made from synthetic components. It is high resistance which make it a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Due to its hardness and strength it is widely used in switches, relays and connectors. Bakelite is little used in consumer products today due to the cost and complexity of its production and has become quite collectable in recent years.
Dimensions: 1/4" OD x 18" long, with an ID of 0.140".
